Continuing Education & Professional Development

Continuing education and professional development programming at the University of Minnesota Rochester (UMR) is focused on accelerating the knowledge and skills of professionals in a variety of fields. Programming is enhanced by extending University of Minnesota system resources to Southeastern Minnesota.

The majority of programs offered are designed to cover the topic and material for a specific audience. Continuing Education and Professional Development (CEPD) staff can work with businesses and organizations to design programs to meet special needs. Working through the College of Continuing Education, UMR can also award CEU credits.

Over the past 24 months, UMR CEPD has served more than 2,000 people and presented more than 60 programs in the areas of: business, technology, politics, medicine, law, human resources, veterinary medicine, human ecology, pharmacy, transportation, journalism, environment, and alternative energy sources.
