The University of Minnesota Rochester’s (UMR) IT/ITV/Classroom Support Services has student positions open in the following areas:
- Laptop Program Support – Position assists with UMR’s laptop program. Duties include staffing the help desk, repairing and maintaining laptops, imaging laptops, and related duties.
- ITV/Classroom Support – Position assists with ITV and regular classes. Duties include monitoring classes, operating central control panel, providing technical assistance to instructors, and related duties.
- Office/Academic Support – Position assists with providing system support for UMR desktop systems. Duties include software installation, system setup, user support to faculty and staff, and related duties.
Qualifications
No formal IT training is required. Some experience setting up computers, installing software, or operating technology is required.
Hours
Scheduling is based upon the student/employee schedule and the needs of IT/ITV/Classroom Support Services. Positions are available for ten hours per week including evenings and weekends. Additional hours may be requested over breaks and during the summer.
Position start date
Positions will be available beginning September 2, 2009.
