Technology

The University of Minnesota Rochester (UMR) offers a variety of baccalaureate and master's degree programs in technology. The degree programs are offered in Rochester through the University of Minnesota's Institute of Technology. These programs offer traditional and nontraditional students the opportunity to be taught by University of Minnesota faculty and earn a University of Minnesota degree without having to travel to the Twin Cities. Professional development courses in technology are also available at UMR.

Master's Degree:

Master of Science Degrees:

Baccalaureate Degrees:

Professional Development Courses:

  • Noncredit courses are offered from the U of M's Center for the Development of Technological Leadership (CDTL).

A special "Signature Series" is offered each year highlighting current topics of interest that are drawn from the core of the Management of Technology (MOT) master’s degree program offered at the University of Minnesota. These seminars, like the MOT degree program, focus on educating and updating general business know-how, providing technical management skills, and teaching participants to forecast, analyze, and implement existing and emerging technologies for maximum competitive advantage. An industry advisory group guides the programming for these courses with representatives from manufacturing, service, and technology sectors. Participants are exposed to cutting-edge theory and practice. Targeted business, management, and leadership skills are provided as well as innovative concepts in technology management that can be immediately applied to the workplace. These courses are open to technology-based professionals who are in line for management or leadership and are selected by their company management to attend.
