James P. (Jim) Licari, Ph.D.
Assistant Director for Industrial Liaison

As Assistant Director for Industrial Liaison at the University of Minnesota Rochester (UMR), Dr. Licari handles the local Digital Technology Center (DTC) activities in SE Minnesota. He also coordinates and participates in research initiatives at UMR.

Dr. Licari is involved with many research initiatives at UMR, including: the Hybrid Energy Systems Study (HESS) funded by Rochester Public Utilities, and image reconstruction approaches under a project entitled Digital Image Storage & Transmission Algorithm (DISTA) supported by the SOTA TEC Fund.
