| Chuck Schwartau is one of
two regional extension educators housed in the University of Minnesota
Extension Service - Rochester Center with responsibilities for
livestock education programs. His primary responsibility is on
the dairy program team with a supporting role to the beef and
swine extension program teams.

Interests:
Chuck has been active in the development and continuation of
“Farm Beginnings” a project for people interested
in entering production agriculture. This project has been going
since 1993 in cooperation with other agencies and non-profits
in southeastern Minnesota.
As part of this program, Chuck took a 7 week professional study
tour to research similar programs in Australia and New Zealand.
This has also opened the door to hosting several visiting scholars
from Australia who have been Churchill Scholarship recipients
for their own study tours in agriculture.
