Post-Bulletin: Answer Man

Last weekend, I noted that one of my favorite hangouts, the Loop bar and restaurant in downtown Rochester, bills itself as the official local HQ for Iowa Hawkeyes fans. That seems like a risky proposition in the land of the University of Minnesota Rochester Raptors and the Golden Gophers, and I added as an aside, "Mayor Brede, did you read that?"

He did, and he sent a note this week.

"While in Las Vegas attending the Minnesota Gophers football game against the UNLV Rebels last week, I had to check the online Post-Bulletin on my iPhone," he said. "And what to my amazement I saw that one of my favorite new restaurants in Rochester, The Loop, is identifying itself as the official TV viewing site for Iowa Hawkeye football. What?!?! I would think someone’s living room would accommodate that 'crowd.' Just kidding. I’m guessing The Loop will have some terrific pork sandwiches, being Minnesota is currently (the last two years) the home of Floyd of Rosedale ...
