Is the Rochester local-option sales tax a slush fund supporting a kind of city planners’ wish list or is it a necessary funding source for projects critical to the community’s future vitality and quality of life?
That was the main question hotly argued Thursday night throughout a debate sponsored by ABC 6 News/KAAL-TV, the Rochester League of Women Voters and Rochester Community and Technical College.
