Directions and Parking Information

Directions to UMR at University Square

Total est. time: 3 hours, 45 minutes
Total est. distance: 230 miles

• Take I-35 South from Duluth to I-35E toward St. Paul
• Stay left as nearing downtown St. Paul for a left lane exit (Exit 107A) to Hwy. US 52 South
• Continue on Hwy. US-52 S through southern suburban area of St. Paul and all the way to Rochester
• Exit at 2nd Street SW
• Turn left (east) and remain on 2nd Street for approximately 1 mile (St. Marys Hospital will be on your right, near Hwy 52; the Mayo Clinic will be on your left about 6 blocks later as you near downtown)
• Immediately after crossing Broadway (same as Hwy 63; Red Lobster and Doubletree Hotel to your left), turn left (north) into the First Street Parking Ramp
• The First Street Parking Ramp will connect you by skyway to University Square (formerly Galleria Mall)

The First Street Parking Ramp is the closest and most convenient parking facility. Free parking is provided at all meters and municipal parking ramps after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m.

NOTE: If you stay overnight at the Doubletree Hotel, you will be charged $10.70 per night for parking in the First Street Ramp. This amount will be added to your hotel bill.

Key Access for Faculty Office

MBA faculty will have access to Office 379; it is located in the marketing office suite. When you arrive at UMR, see Mary DeWitt in Room 326 to pick up a key to unlock the faculty office. It will also give you access to the suite area which includes a printer and photocopier. Each week when you have finished your last class, please drop the key in the "UM Rochester" slot in the test drop-off counter near the elevators on the third floor (Mary can show you where).

Login Procedure and Code Information

If you plan to use the computers at UMR rather than your own laptop, you will need to complete the procedure below in advance.

• Go to http://www.umn.edu/myaccount and add yourself to the Active Directory Account section
  • You will need to enter your X.500 account
• Once you have entered your account, you will see a window prompt with three options
• Click on "Update Account" and scroll all the way down until you see two boxes to check
• Check both boxes
• Click "Submit"
• Logout
• When the above steps have been completed:
  • Please e-mail our tech support staff in Rochester umritdpt@umn.edu to let them know you have completed this step and e-mail them your X500 ID.
  • UMR IT staff will relay this information to UMFAST staff who will complete the process so that you can access UMR computers.
